COLLISON & COLLISON, P.C. is pleased to announce that CHARLES C. COLLISON, SR. has been awarded the 2006 Excellence In Defense Award by the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel.

The MDTC was established in 1979 to enhance and promote the defense bar. The Excellence In Defense Award was established in 1992 and is designed to honor those civil defense counsel who have, throughout their careers, demonstrated the following attributes:

• professionalism

• intelligence

• creativity

• judgment

• personality

• sensitivity

• civility

• advocacy skills

• community involvement

The award also recognizes the efforts to educate younger attorneys, the promotion of the practice of the defense bar and the representation of clients both in and outside of the courtroom. Only those attorneys who contribute to the practice of law beyond their normal roles as an advocate are eligible. The Award is bestowed in conjunction with the annual Law Day celebration.

Charles has practiced law in mid and northern Michigan for the past 46 years. He is associated with his sons, Jeffrey, Joseph, Daniel and Charles, Jr., as well as associates, Alexander Bommarito and Brian Green.
